About the artist

Sally studied for a Fine Art Degree at the University for the Creative Arts in Farnham where she specialised in sculpture. After leaving university Sally began working as a mould maker and wax fettler for Fine Art foundries and a variety of artist studios and workshops.

Having recently decided to focus on her own art practice, Sally continues to use her skills and knowledge of mould making to reinforce and enhance her sculptures. Her love of the lost wax process and her understanding of the hands-on craftsmanship, which is integral to creating work in bronze, allows Sally to create works that are individual and full of character. Often having a comical and whimsical element to them, Sallys sculptures encourage the viewer to consider and create narratives surrounding them.

Based in West Sussex, Sally has recently been proud to have shown some of her work at the Southern Natural Art Exhibition 2024 in Wickham where she was awarded the Best 3D piece in show, and the Sussex Contemporary 2024 in Newhaven.

Some of Sallys work is currently exhibited at Leonardslee House in Horsham and she looks forward to exhibiting again at the Southern Natural Art Exhibition 2025 at Rookesbury Park, Wickham over the August bank holiday.
